Day of the Dead Above the Tâmega River

The Nomad Chef is opening the doors of Quinta Nomad for a Halloween and Day of the Dead feast above the Tâmega River.

On October 31, the souls of the dead will awaken and return to the living world to feast, drink, dance and play with us. And what better place to welcome them than a beautiful old Portuguese quinta perched above the Tâmega River?

Come join us as we toast those who have gone on to travel in that ethereal party place before us. Bring your skull masks, your makeup, your Halloween finery, or simply come as yourself. The spirit world, our friends and relatives, will recognize us in any of our many façades.

We'll be gathering around the table for a leisurely afternoon of food, conversation, laughter and perhaps a little mischief.

The Nomad Chef will be curating a multi-course menu designed to light up your taste buds and heat up the conversations you share with other supper club nomads. Expect a fusion of cuisines, bold, salty, spicy and sweet, taking us on a culinary journey across borders and cultures.

Come prepared to talk about travel, adventures, places you've been and places you're dreaming of going. Come prepared to meet beautiful strangers who, by the end of lunch, may well be your newest friends.

After all, the living have to make the most of their time here. And the dead shouldn't have all the fun!

The feast

Our lunch includes an aperitif and several courses, prepared to surprise and delight you.

€40 per person, including the aperitif and multi-course lunch. You're welcome to bring your own wine or purchase wine from our favorite wine partner, Tongabriga Wines.

Children are welcome too! Special pricing for our younger nomads is available in the ticket options.

O Nomad Chef abre as portas da Quinta Nomad para um almoço especial de Halloween e Dia dos Mortos, com vista para o rio Tâmega!

No dia 31 de outubro, as almas dos mortos despertam e regressam ao mundo dos vivos para comer, beber, dançar e divertir-se connosco. E que melhor lugar para as receber do que uma bela quinta portuguesa antiga, situada sobre o rio Tâmega?

Venham brindar connosco àqueles que já partiram para esse lugar etéreo onde a festa continua. Tragam as vossas máscaras de caveira, maquilhagem, disfarces de Halloween, ou venham simplesmente como são. O mundo dos espíritos, os nossos amigos e familiares, reconhecer-nos-á sob qualquer uma das nossas muitas aparências.

Vamos reunir-nos à mesa para uma tarde descontraída de boa comida, conversa, gargalhadas e talvez algumas travessuras.

O Nomad Chef vai preparar um menu de vários pratos, pensado para despertar os sentidos e animar as conversas entre os nossos companheiros de viagem gastronómica. Esperem uma fusão de cozinhas, sabores intensos, salgados, picantes e doces, numa viagem culinária que atravessa fronteiras e culturas.

Venham preparados para falar de viagens, aventuras, lugares por onde já passaram e outros que ainda sonham conhecer. Venham conhecer pessoas interessantes que, até ao final do almoço, poderão muito bem tornar-se novos amigos.

Afinal, os vivos têm de aproveitar o tempo que cá estão. E os mortos não podem ficar com toda a diversão!
