Works in Progress: Sonnenzimmer Open House
Join us for our first Works in Progress: Open House at our new studio. We’re in the midst of developing a brand new body of work and we’re elated to open up the journey—sharing completed works, works in progress, process, experiments, and influence. We’re also offering deep discounts on previous work in an effort to finance our upcoming exhibition and publication.

☀️ BYOB ☀️ Behind-the-scenes look at new body of work ☀️ Discounted prints, publications, original works About the HostSonnenzimmer is the collaborative practice of artists Nick Butcher & Nadine Nakanishi. We began working together in the early 2000s, combining our love for visual art, typography, graphic design, printmaking, and music in the form of screen-printed concert posters. Supported by Chicago’s thriving creative community, we developed an experimental approach to graphic expression that tested the limits of abstraction, legibility, communication, and the medium of print. sonnenzimmer.com // IG: @sonnenzimmer
Event notes

No entry without RSVP

Masks are optional and will be available for distribution at the door

Chill dogs in our garden on a leash are okay(with "parental" supervision)

This is a community-minded gathering, and we ask for everyone to help make all feel welcome.

Street parking (be aware of permit zones), preferably use Elston Ave.

If you can't make it, please cancel your ticket to make room for others.

Access note

Our space has one step down; there is no railing.

A bathroom on this floor has a clearance of 27".

Chairs upon request.

If you have any access needs we can help with, please contact Nadine, info@sonnenzimmer.com, preferably 72 hours ahead of our event.
