Elisha Tan shoots onstage like a lightning bolt — an assassin never missing her target.” — Los Angeles Female Playwrights InitiativeElisha Tan left Singapore with a plan: save her startup, become the success story her family could finally brag about, and prove that passion could pay.She failed. What followed was years of grinding, scrambling, and discovering what America looks like when you arrive with the wrong dream, the wrong face, and a family back home in Singapore who will never let you forget it.Her spectacular failure was featured in Channel NewsAsia, CNBC, and Yahoo Finance. Now, she’s telling it the way it was meant to be told: as jokes.Alpha Asian is a solo stand-up hour about being trapped between Singaporean and American definitions of success—and failing at both. It’s about Asian families, Silicon Valley delusion, and the humiliation of failing publicly in a world that only celebrates wins.Expect sharp cultural observations, ruthless honesty, and the kind of life lessons that arrive disguised as bad decisions.Because if your failure cannot make your parents proud, at least it can sell tickets.
