Wild Music Lab - Soukma: Where Worlds Meet

One night. One special collaboration.

A meeting of jazz, Indonesian traditions, original music and familiar melodies reimagined through a fresh and deeply personal musical language.

Led by Soukma, with composer/arranger Umar Zakaria on double bass and Rachma Lim on keys, the first set brings original compositions and selected standards into an intimate, spontaneous soundscape where tradition meets contemporary jazz.

For the second set, local artist Riduan Zalani joins on rebana, adding another layer of rhythm, texture and cultural colour.

Expect Detak Jantungku, Janger, Panon Hideung, Cublak-Cublak Suweng, Ondel-Ondel, O Inanikeke and familiar traditional and western standards all transformed through their own interpretations.
