The Sing Easy™: A Guided Drop-In Singing Session (Chelsea)
An embodied singing experience for all voices & levels. Explore your voice and experience the joy of singing in community.
Your voice is welcome here, exactly as it is.
The Sing Easy™ is a drop-in embodied singing experience open to every voice and every level of experience, whether you've been singing your whole life or have never sung a note out loud.
Led by artist and voice teacher Jess McAvoy, The Sing Easy brings together breath, movement, sound, play, and group singing in a low-pressure, judgment-free space. Rather than focusing on singing “well,” we use the voice as a way to get grounded in the body, explore self-expression, and connect with the people around us.
What to expect:
- Breath, movement, and somatic exercises to help you arrive in your body
- Vocal exploration to open up resonance, sound, and expression
- Play with harmony, dissonance, improvisation, and group sound
- Easy-to-follow singing that builds into a collaboratively created song—or “spell”
- A welcoming mix of embodiment, technique, play, self-expression, and connection
Who it's for:
Anyone with a voice.
You don't need to consider yourself a singer, know how to harmonize, read music, or have any previous experience. Come if you've always wanted to sing but haven't known where to start, if you're an experienced singer looking for a different relationship with your voice, or if you simply want to experience what happens when we make sound together.
There is nothing to prepare and nothing to prove. Just bring your voice and your body as they are.
