Thank you for your interest in experiencing the forest!In light of recent announcements by the government to destroy Maju Forest and develop public housing, we are organizing a series of walks this August to bring you closer to connect with the slow magic and beauty that Maju Forest brings to Singapore. <h2>What to Expect</h2><ul><li>A ~1.5-2 hour walk along the abandoned Jurong Railway line and tunnel bringing us through the forest</li><li>Uneven, unmarked and muddy terrain</li><li>An experienced hiking guide, and 3-4 volunteers who will help facilitate and provide assistance if needed</li></ul> <h2>Route Details</h2>📍Meeting Point at Clementi Arcade<ul><li>Start at Sunset Way Entrance</li><li>Exit via Bus Stop along Clementi Road opposite Brookvale drive (after the tunnel)</li><li>(Optional) Walk back to Clementi Arcade for post-walk refreshments and conversations, kindly sponsored by Baker &amp; Cook</li></ul> <h2>What to Bring</h2><ul><li>Good hiking shoes (Mandatory - The trail is muddy so no sandals)</li><li>Umbrella or Poncho (in case of light rain)</li><li>Long sleeves and long pants</li><li>Insect repellent</li><li>Water and snacks</li><li>Hat/Shades (Optional)</li></ul> <h2>Event Confirmation</h2>Slots are limited. We will contact you 3 days before the event on your slot with more details! <h2>About us</h2>We are a group of adventure seekers, nature enthusiasts, and Sunset Way residents who regularly hike and play in nature in the nearby Maju &amp; Clementi Forest, as well as many other off-the-beaten path trails in Singapore.
