The Concert Division is the premier performance platform of the Singapore International Band Festival (SIBF), designed for outstanding wind bands and ensembles seeking to present a complete artistic concert experience beyond the traditional competition format.As the highest-tier category within SIBF, the Concert Division showcases ensembles that demonstrate exceptional musicianship, artistic maturity, and programming excellence. Participating bands are invited to present an engaging concert programme of up to 45 minutes, offering audiences a compelling musical journey through thoughtfully curated repertoire and high-level performance.Unlike conventional contest performances that focus primarily on technical evaluation, the Concert Division celebrates the art of concert presentation. Ensembles are encouraged to explore innovative programming concepts, thematic storytelling, contemporary works, masterworks of the wind band repertoire, and audience engagement strategies that reflect the evolving role of wind bands in today's musical landscape.The division serves as a platform for some of Asia's most accomplished youth, community, university, and professional-level wind ensembles to share their artistry with an international audience.
