The MANHATTAN SHORT Finalists will be announced later this summer, and will all hail from different countries. All MANHATTAN SHORT selected films are "Oscar Eligible".

As Nicholas Mason, founding director of Manhattan Short Film Festival says, “these ten short films bring a much-needed positive energy to the world!"

The MANHATTAN SHORT 2026 will consist of a worldwide line-up of ten short films, exploring a wide range of topics. After the Glen Ellyn inaugural event last year, the Wheaton-Glen Ellyn AAUW Branch is thrilled to host the MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival again at the Glen Art Theatre on October 1st. This year there will be two showings: a matinee at 4:00 pm and an evening at 7:00 pm . Please buy your tickets now in order for you to have your choice of time.

Your ticket supports AAUW scholarships and the AAUW Mission. By attending, you're helping fund the next generation of women leaders, scholars, and professionals in our community.

What to expect:

• Ten short films, each under 20 minutes , from filmmakers around the world
• Films range from drama and comedy to animation
• There will be a 15 minute Intermission
• After the screening, you'll cast your vote — and audiences worldwide collectively choose the festival winner
• Approximate runtime: 2 hr 20 min

Voting closes globally at the end of the festival week, and the winning film is announced shortly afterward.
