This is an open, low-pressure space for anyone looking to find people to talk to about MDMA for a couple hours of unstructured hangout time!

Whether you’ve rolled dozens of times or are simply MDMA-curious. Whether you’re interested in its therapeutic potential, rave history, or neuroscience. Whether you’ve had profound healing experiences on a dance floor or with a therapists, difficult comedowns, questions about safety / integration, etc.

Come connect with fellow psychonauts over music, mocktails, and cozy conversation in one of NYC’s warmest witchiest sober social spaces.

All are welcome! No experience needed, just curiousity.

ABOUT California Sober: A Zero-Proof Social Series

California Sober is a monthly zero-proof psychedelic social series from the Psychedelic Assembly and Hekate Café & Elixir Lounge.

Each month, California Sober explores a different theme or subculture within the psychedelic world, bringing together people drawn by shared interests, lived experience, or curiosity… all in a relaxed, alcohol-free social setting.

Think of it as a more intimate, conversational cousin of our Find the Others events. A programming-free time and space for unstructured socializing, hosted in a cozy, witchy space with an incredible selection of non-alcoholic elixirs available for purchase.

Please note: the venue is a small public space and will remain open during our gathering. There may be guests present who are not attending California Sober.
