10th Anniversary of Mandinga em Brooklyn, hosted by Contra Mestre Pião of Capoeira Luanda Brooklyn and O Balanço Movement & Arts Inc.

**This year MANDINGA EM BROOKLYN celebrates its 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!**

Please note: This event takes place over multiple days and is hosted in multiple locations.

In celebration of this incredible milestone, our theme this year is Celebra Os Ancestrais - a Celebration of Our Ancestors.

Each workshop will be dedicated to a different Capoeira Mestre in the respective teacher's lineage.

Thursday (Free Community Roda)

4:30 to 5:15 - Kids Roda (Adults encouraged to support)

5:30 to 6:30 - Adult Roda

FRIDAY (Workshops + Dinner)

6:00-7:00 pm: Capoeira Workshop w/ Professora Manhosa

7:00-8:00 pm: Afro Dance Workshop w/ Mestre Amen

8:05-9:00 pm: Roda

Dinner together (provided) after the roda

SATURDAY (Workshops and Batizado/Graduation)

10:00 - 11:00 am: Kids Capoeira workshop with Mestre Borracha

11:00-12:00: Kids Batizado (Graduation)

12:00 - 12:30pm: Adult Event Launch & Opening Remarks

12:30 - 1:30 pm : Maculelê workshop with Mestra Amazonas of New York City

1:35 - 2:35 pm: Capoeira Workshop Mestre Amen

2:40 - 3:45 pm Capoeira Workshop Mestre Jelon

3:50 - 5:00pm: Batizado & Roda

SUNDAY (Free Community Workshop and Street Roda)

3:00 pm - 5:00 pm – Capoeira roda - part of Meatpacking District Open Streets Festival
