The 22nd Symposium on Second Language Writing (SSLW2026) will be held October 23-25, 2026 at Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan. This year's SSLW will continue the conversation about AI and L2 writing with a focus on the humanity of writing teachers. Keeping with the SSLW tradition of bringing L2 writing researchers and teachers together, this year's SSLW will be a fully in-person experience.
