The College of Agriculture, Food & Environmental Sciences is one of the eight colleges that make up South Dakota State University. Like the university, the college has a three-fold mission to teach, conduct research and use extension programs to serve people in South Dakota, the nation and the world.

The 2025 Eminent Leaders in Agriculture, Family and Community award celebration is scheduled for Friday, September 19 at McCrory Gardens (631 22nd Avenue, Brookings, SD 57006).The Eminent Leaders in Agriculture, Family and Community are nominated by people in their community and have not applied for this honor. The honorees have gone the extra mile and given unselfishly of their time, talent, and leadership to enhance their homes, churches, community organizations, schools, and agriculture, resulting in a betterment of family, communities, the state and the nation.No refunds will be provided for cancellations after 4:00 p.m. CDT, September 5, 2025.
