Covid-10 Response Innovation Hackathon - April

Registration is now open for Covid-19 Response Innovation Hackathon hosted by NEMIC (www.nemicenter.com). How do we ensure that we are best prepared for the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic and the next pandemic?The COVID-19 Response Hackathon’s goal is to create an environment to best support participants to create solutions to support at-risk individuals and groups recover and prepare from worldwide pandemics. The pandemic exposed a number of different groups that have been hard hit by direct and indirect effects of COVID-19. These effects have impacted their physical and mental health, careers, livelihood, overall way of life, and much more. Whether these individuals be elderly, minority groups, those struggling with health or mental illness, or others, they each have their own unique needs and obstacles. Hack participants will have the opportunity to form teams with other participants from diverse backgrounds, be matched with a design team lead, choose a user group and challenge to focus on, and innovate a solution to best support them over the course of the weekend. Together, we can support the hardest hit communities in Rhode Island and beyond, so that we can prepare for the next pandemic or healthcare crisis. It's not "if" but, "when"? Participants can sign up for one of the dates or both.
