ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Born and educated in New York, Nancy Landauer has been a resident of Westport, Connecticut for the past 30 years. She earned a BFA in Illustration from Parsons School of Design in New York. She enjoyed a career in magazine illustration and textile design.
Free from the constraints of commercial art, Landauer has explored many aspects of Fine Art - from Abstract Expressionism to Collage and Acrylic paintings that reveal her affinity for the imagery of the Sixties and Seventies. These works incorporate fragments of logos and cartoons, to pop portraits. She has exhibited widely in the tristate area, including at The White Room Gallery in East Hampton, The Sheffer Gallery at The Westport Library and at Westport’s Salon Dada. Landauer’s work has evolved into a style all her own - on trend, but always with a nod to all things retro.
