We empower kids to create a kinder community with their hearts, hands, and minds. Check back frequently, as we post new service opportunities on the 1st and 15th of each month.

Seeds of Caring

Children will pack birthday bags and decorate cheer cards for families supported by the YWCA Center for Women.

Who this Anywhere Project is for:Ages 4-12. Not sure if this project is the right fit for your kids? Email us with questions at programs@seedsofcaring.org.What you'll be doing:Children will learn about the power of kindness and why it’s important for everyone to get the opportunity to celebrate their birthday through a read aloud and age appropriate discussion. Then helping hands pack birthday bags and decorate a cheer card for families supported by <a href="https://www.ywcacolumbus.org/" title="https://www.ywcacolumbus.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">YWCA Columbus</a>.When you'll be doing it:This Anywhere Project can be done at home, school, or wherever you are!This project is on-going. Families and groups may participate until the project ends on February 16th. . Donations may be contact-free, porch-dropped from 9am - 7pm February 14th-16th at a Seeds of Caring ambassador’s home in Dublin, Upper Arlington, or New Albany. Addresses are provided in the service packet.How it all works:Once you have completed registration, you will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite with a link to your service packet. This packet includes project instructions, guided discussions and more. In every Seeds of Caring service packet, you'll find quick, easy-to-use guides to support you in leading meaning-making conversations! This project's guided discussion focuses on kindness.Approximate Cost:Approximately $12 per kit including items like cake mix, frosting, and candles (full packing list included in service packet).Why you'll be invited to donate:Every time we're able to design, coordinate, and offer an opportunity for kids to give back, it's with the help of supporters like you.
