About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours 30 minutes

A 4 mile progressive bike ride touring many Capitol Hill schools! Join at a school of your choice or start with us at Payne Elementary. After the ride, we're hosting a block party with the Payne PTA to celebrate the new school year and the completion of our permanent street art project at Payne.

Get excited for lots of fun activities at the block party including:

  • Foam Party + DJ
  • Giant chalk art mural by ChalkRiot
  • Professional face painting
  • Balance Bike Course
  • Maracas Ice Pops tricycle
  • A food truck
  • Bathroom access

We’ll have volunteers marshaling to ensure we stay together as a group. MPD bike team will also be participating in the ride to connect officers with the community.

If your family’s bikes need some TLC, please come 15 minutes early to get some assistance–we will have bike maintenance tools available, as well as some experienced amateur bike mechanics on hand to assist.

Thanks to our ride sponsor, The Arbor Group!
