EDIT: Ticket sales including the plushie have been ended, but you can still get individual tickets in the courstide bleachers! Unfortunately the catering tailgate had to be cancelled but the team is working on other food options.
From humble concession stand beginnings borne out of an enquiring Twitter post, Hand Fruit Nation has slowly, yet indelibly, made its mark on the fabric of the Rip City Remix. Driven by members of the Third Bench Booster Club and Kenny's G League Podcast, (and the occasional t-shirt tossing human banana), excitement for family-friendly basketball and $7 tall boys grew over the winter. We cheered for Rayan Rupert, Kris Murray, Taze Moore, Alex Reese, and Blazers coaching legends, all culminating in our first Hand Fruit Nation Summit at the next to last game of the Remix inaugural season. There, we solidified that a Hand Fruit is not a thing, but a GODDAMN VIBE.
We cordially invite you to the 2nd iteration of the Summit, Kumquat Boogaloo, where we take over the courtside bleachers once again. The Rip City Remix will take on former Oregon Duck N'Faly Dante and the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in a matinee game on Super Bowl weekend. Parking is free at the Chiles Center, and doors for the game will open at 2PM. There will be tailgate themed events and food options inside to partake in, and the game tips off at 3PM
Admission is $25 (plus a modest eventbrite processing fee) and includes a 10 inch Hand Fruit Nation plushie designed by our very favorite @Basketghoul, Kaylie Hardin!(https://ripcityclothing.com/products/rip-city-remix-apple-10in-plush) Tickets will be transferred to you via Tixr approximately 1 week prior to the event, and you'll receive your plushie at the game!
