The 100 East Building, also known as the Faison Building after its developer, Henry Faison, is a significant local example of Postmodern architecture. Designed by the North Carolina architectural firm of Clark, Tribble, Harris, & Li and constructed from 1987-1989, this 35-story, 549’ tall building was designed to reflect the historic aesthetic of the former Pabst Building’s arcaded façade, pyramidal roof, cupola, shaped gables, finials, and vaulted ceilings.

The building occupies one of the city’s most historic sites. In 1825, it was home to Solomon Juneau’s original cabin and trading post. In 1851, the Ludington Building was constructed and later replaced in 1892 by Captain Frederick Pabst’s erection of a 14-story skyscraper that symbolized Milwaukee’s passage into the modern period.


Visitor Experience:

Follow a guided tour of the lobby, 18th and 35th floors showcasing the history and architecture of the building. This tour is fully accessible and photography is allowed.
