Duplicate/Pending Charges

Declined purchases are the most common cause of duplicate charges. These charges show as pending but should disappear within 5-7 business days. If these charges don’t disappear, contact us for assistance.

Recognizing charges from Eventbrite

When you purchase tickets on Eventbrite, the charge appears on your bank/credit card statement as:

EB * [first 15 characters of the event title] SAN FRANCISCO CA

EXAMPLE: A ticket for the Corgi Festival 2023 in Lexington, Kentucky might appear as: EB *CORGI FESTIVAL 202 SAN FRANCISCO CA.

Some events use PayPal for payment processing. If your charge was through PayPal and there's a problem, contact PayPal for assistance.

Pending charges

If you attempt to buy tickets but your charge is declined, a pending charge may appear on your statement. This charge should disappear when your bank or card company notices that the charge was declined. If you still see a pending charge after seven business days, contact us for assistance.

Duplicate charges

If you see duplicate charges on your statement, log in and go to Tickets to check if there are multiple orders. If that's the case, request a refund from the organizer for the extra orders. If you’re unable to request a refund, contact the organizer directly for help.

If you have a duplicate charge for a single order, contact us for assistance.
