No building captures the history of modern Washington better than Union Station. It revolutionized transportation by creating a grand gateway to the nation’s capital in the days before interstate highways. It has also reflected politics, government, architecture, economics, race relations and gender roles.

On this 90-minute indoor (mostly) walking tour we will learn about Union Station's central place in Washington over the past 100 years, as well as its possible future roles, from one of our own Boomers to Busters, Williams ’84 researcher Bill Wright (www.washingtonunionstation.com.) Tour takes place rain or shine. We are sold out. You can sign up for the wait list - one ticket for each person (i.e. sign up twice for two people).

Tour starts in front of the Columbus Club in the main rotunda at 10:30 AM. An optional “pay as you go” group lunch follows at noon. Union Station is on the Red Line and has an attached parking garage.

Cost is $20 for adults and $10 for youth 10 to 21. Children under 10 are free.
