Description

The Kennedy Forum 'Mind Matters' is honored to host Craig Kramer, Mental Health Ambassador and Chair, Global Campaign for Mental Health, Johnson & Johnson on Wednesday, Oct. 4.

Kramer helps lead J&J's efforts to transform mental health globally by raising awareness, reducing stigma, promoting research, improving access, and ensuring better patient outcomes.

Americans spent an estimated $201 billion on treatments and services for mental disorders in 2013 when, for the first time, mental health had become the costliest health care problem in the country. The research has followed ever since, as some experts forecast that within our lifetimes the economic costs of mental illness will be more than cancer, diabetes, and respiratory diseases combined.

In his 'Mind Matters' discussion, Kramer will set the stage for the economics of mental illness, what it means for patients and providers and what America needs to do to get her arms around the problems.

Doors open at 7:30 a.m. General admission is $45. Memberships available for $500 and $1,000. Valet parking is $12. All seating includes full breakfast bar. Sponsorships are available.
