Pizza and Politics (November election political forum)

"I don’t know who these people are or what this measure is supposed to do!" If you have felt this way during previous elections, you are not alone.The Neighborhood Associations of San Francisco District 5 would like to help decipher the November 4 ballot so you don’t have to do all the work. St. Cyprians is hosting an event Sunday, 10/26, from 2:00-4:30 where we are requesting residents to participate and research one or more topics or candidates and provide the findings to the group in a short presentation. This will be without politicians and minimal bias, moderated to ensure civility and stay on point. With 12 offices and 19 measures, we will adhere to a timeline and present the most popular and contentious issues first. Presentations will be timed and we request that presenters plan accordingly. Questions will be answered as time permits afterwards and an SF Department of Elections official has offered to be present to answer voting process questions. We hope to share the resources we’ve used and hope that it can help eliminate the noise of campaign propaganda. We kindly request that candidates and campaigners not participate so as to avoid undue influence and deter involvement by those who want it free of active campaigning. The event is free but donations to St. Cyprians are requested.
