Vermont Youth Cannabis Conference:
Foundations in Cannabis Trends, Consequences of Legislation, and Impacts for Youth
September 23, 2021
This conference provides an opportunity for prevention professionals to come together and refine or develop new cannabis use prevention strategies based on current trends and impacts focused on Youth. Based on lessons learned from other New England states and exploring Vermont’s own legislation for a legal retail market, keynote presentations, panels and workshops will provide an opportunity to explore community-based education, policy development, youth messaging and other topics to implement at the regional or local level.
Objectives:
1. Connect Vermonters from around the state to coordinate youth cannabis use prevention opportunities, strategies and supports.
2. Gain knowledge of the lessons learned from other states as they created and managed a legal and retail cannabis market place.
3. Determine and plan for youth cannabis use prevention strategies for local implementation.
Who should attend ?
Prevention professionals and youth allies currently working to address youth substance misuse including cannabis.

With an abundance of caution as the number of COVID cases continues to rise, a decision has been made by the Vermont Department of Health/Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Programs (VDH/ADAP), to change the September 23rd Youth Cannabis Prevention Conference to a virtual event. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
Panels and Workshops will be recorded and made available post Conference.
