About this event

Celebrate the launch of Grahame Gardner's new book celebrating the life and work of Harry Bell. 40 years ago, Harry mapped the hidden leylines of Glasgow in his book Glasgow's Secret Geometry, which is nowadays almost impossible to find. Now, Grahame has produced an extensively revised, 40th-anniversary compendium of Harry's writings, including Forgotten Footsteps, Glasgow's Secret Geometry, Leyline Quest, plus never-before-seen articles and letters. With added commentaries from Grahame, May Miles Thomas and Dr Kenny Brophy, this is a treat for all fans of psychogeography, local history and folklore.

Includes a rare screening of May Miles Thomas' atmospheric film The Devil's Plantation, narrated by Kate Dickie and Gary Lewis; described by the Scotsman as '...lingering, atmospheric, beautifully made, easily comparable to Patrick Keiller’s psychogeographical films of London.'
