What skills and mindsets will make your team more effective in supporting youth to reach their educational, career, and personal goals? Join the Institute for Educational Leadership for this workshop to explore essential competencies for Youth Service Professionals and capacity building strategies that continuously improve our work. Participants will assess their current professional development and capacity building approach, identify action steps to strengthen the Youth Service Professional workforce, and sample new training modules. The new modules and capacity building strategy were jointly developed by IEL and the National Youth Employment Coalition (NYEC) – the Youth Service Professionals’ Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Training Series.
During this workshop, attendees will receive two tools they can use immediately to inform their organization's staff capacity building plans: 1) the Youth Service Professionals' competencies assessment and 2) the staff capacity building organizational assessment.
