DOCUMENTING THE AMERICAN FAMILY - A WORKSHOP FOR ALL LEVELS

Chris Verene, Associate Professor of Photography has taught at the City University of

NY for 12 years, His course introduces students to serious photography subject

matter using the cellphone as the entry-level tool. Verene's personal journey of

documenting his family's small town in Illinois since 1987 will serve as the guide for

this one-day class. Students will learn how to create a project from their own life

experience.
