Lavalier Wiring: Tricks of the Trade at Gotham Expo 2025

Sound mixer Laura Cunningham will demo the expendables, mounts, and techniques she uses to capture the best sound with a well-hidden and secure lavalier.

Topics will include:

• Optimal lav placement
• Dealing with clothing movement and loud jewelry
• Hiding mics in tie knots, dress shirts without a jacket or tie, noisy outerwear, bikinis or other revealing clothing, and hair
